As a part of the several innovation centers that Haier layed out worldwide, the Center (HIIC) will provide Haier and its partner companies more quality innovation and technology in the “Start-up Nation”, integrating Israeli innovation vibe into Haier’s strategic move, and strengthen its global leadership in home appliances.
The center will focus on finding Israeli technologies for Haier product lines, and will be specifically looking at sensor technology, materials, chips, Internet of Things (IoT), smart homes and energy innovation.
“The decision to open an innovation center is fully aligned with Haier’s strategy: the world is our lab,” said Wang Ye, general manager of Advanced innovation center in Haier’s Appliance Group.
HIIC belongs to Haier Electronics’ Open Partnerships Ecosystem (HOPE), which provides professional technology scouting and technology transfer services to Haier itself as well as partner companies. Currently HOPE is also running Singapore and Silicon Valley innovation center.
